Carylls is centrally located in the peaceful village of Faygate in the heart of the Arun Valley, yet is only 3 miles from the major towns of Crawley & Horsham. London is only one hour away by train, and the south coast can be reached in 40 minutes by car.
Faygate is just 7 miles from Gatwick Airport, and close to the commuter routes of the M23 and M25. Faygate also has its own railway station, providing links to London Victoria, Brighton, London Bridge, Southampton, Portsmouth and Bognor Regis.
Buses run frequently to Crawley and Horsham from Faygate.

Carylls Country House is only 3 miles away from Horsham, a historic market town in the heart of West Sussex. Horsham, with its rich history and architectural heritage, has a lovely town centre, with pavement cafés, award–winning floral displays, markets, and a perfect blend of specialist shops and famous names.
Carylls Country House is a wonderful base from which to start exploring Horsham and the South East. Around the glorious local countryside, there is a wealth of fascinating and beautiful places to discover, from medieval churches and picturesque villages, to thriving, award–winning towns, beautiful historic houses and gardens, and a host of leisure opportunities.
Dover, Newhaven and the Channel Tunnel are all within easy reach by road, enabling access to France in less than 4 hours!
And at the weekend, be sure to take the horse and carriage ride that runs between the local pubs and inns in the area!
How to Find Us
By Road
- From London, follow the M23 towards Brighton. From the south, follow the A23 towards Pease Pottage.
- At Junction 11, exit towards Horsham A264.
- Once on the A264 go straight over the first roundabout, continuing to follow the A264.
- At the next roundabout, turn left, continuing to follow the A264.
- After approximately 3 miles, turn right at the roundabout into Faygate.
- Continue straight over the mini roundabout, over the railway bridge past the station, and continue for one mile. The sign for Carylls will be found on the left.
By Rail
Faygate Railway Station is located ½ a mile down the road from Carylls. Please check the National Rail website for train times and fares. Services run from London Victoria and Horsham/Arundel.
